Such a fitting and timely challenge. In a world that seems to be leaking sympathy, care, love, kindness, compassion and being replaced with a more viscous poisonous cocktail of hatred, greed, selfishness, wanting, pain, I feel suffocated by and choked by this poison. Humanity, MY humanity, OUR humanity is being weighed down by this black, putrid, fetid, repulsive tar, my lungs burning with its toxicity.
But there will be re-birth. This photo inspires my faith in humanity. There will be an uprising. A tsunami of love and life. Our souls will dance and sing in harmony to the tune of ‘humanness’. We will be stripped to the bare necessity to make us realise that we make or break humanity. Because humanity is us. Where there is birth, there is purity. Where purity is nurtured, humanity will thrive. When we let go of self, humanity will flourish. When we are comfortable to just be, we will restore humanity.
“My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together.” – Desmond Tutu

Very well said! This is the reasoning behind why I chose the theme. So much hatred and lack of humanity in the world yet when you see beauty as in your picture above: Of birth and life, and love, you feel restored in humanity.
